Production & Sustainability

All Boogie Beans items are made from 100% Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified organic cotton in ethical factories based in Australia & Indie.

During the production of non-organic cotton, lots of harsh chemicals and pesticides are sprayed onto the cotton plants.  By opting for organic cotton, we’re protecting our little beans from exposure to harmful chemicals + making a socially responsible decision to care for our environment, which after-all, is for the benefit of our future generations.

GOTS = Chemical Free

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the name of the governing body that oversees the certification criteria of organic cotton right around the world.

Certification is critical in ensuring companies comply with the criteria necessary to have their products classified as truly organic.

GOTS certified cotton is farmed in a way that utilises sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. It uses less water in the farming process, and also ensures the crops aren’t treated with any harmful pesticides, insecticides, herbicides or Genetically Modified Organisms.

Quality

GOTS certified cotton is noticeably softer than conventional cotton because it hasn’t been tarnished with high levels of chemicals and pesticides, and is grown and manufactured in as natural a state as possible.

Furthermore, because chemicals haven’t worn down the fibers (as would be the case with non organic cotton), all our garments are highly durable, meaning they will last longer and can be passed down to future boogying beans, with less of a negative impact on the environment.
